Curated in partnership with celebrated writer, author and stylist MELANIE GRANT, the selling exhibition — the most ambitious to date — presented a selection of jewels of exceptional artistry, quality and historical importance.

The SARR Collection
With a large focus on contemporary photography—from works by renown artists such as Carrie Mae Weems, Toshio Shibata, Seydou Keita, Lorna Simpson, Samuel Fosso, Lorraine O'Grady and Zanele Muholi— the Sarr collection spans over seventy years of production, crossing over into mediums of painting and sculpture with work from iconic artists such Ousmane Sow, Chris Ofili and Bruce Onobrakpeya. The collection also focuses on young and emerging artists such Mimi Ng'ok Cherono, Nate Young, Julien Creuzet, Joel Degbo, Bilal Hamdad, Dewadi Hadjad and Fabien Conti.
The SARR Prize
The SARR Prize presents three awards annually to current Les Beaux-Arts Paris students for excellence in a body of artistic work. The prize supports the vision and philosophy of the Sarr Collection. As Patron of the arts, Catherine and Mamadou-Abou Sarr believe that it is critical to support and empower young artists at an early stage in their practices. The Prize is juried by a group of distinguished curators, artists and private collectors with overlapping expertise and passion in visual arts. .
