Amanda Seyfried made an entrance in a custom-made ALMASIKA choker at the 2022 TIME100 Gala, where Seyfried was honored this year. Every year, the TIME100 Gala brings together icons, leaders, change-makers and celebrities from across industries and nations for an evening of meaningful dialogue and celebration.
The piece was created specifically for Seyfried as a part of a project initiated by De Beers and the RAD Advocacy group to amplify the voices of talent on global red carpets. “Working closely with Elizabeth Stewart — I wanted to make sure the piece represented the ALMASIKA woman who exudes effortless elegance and confidence, Amanda Seyfried was a perfect muse,” notes Catherine Sarr, ALMASIKA founder.
“To see her in my design for the Time 100 awards was a beautiful moment for me and the ideal time for this collaboration to come to fruition.”

Flowing, developing and adorning, the Berceau Choker represents a myriad of ALMASIKA influences. The nesting forms pay homage to tradition, reinterpreting ancestral adornments to celebrate and become an extension of the natural human form.
The choker was designed to meld and become a part of the body and the organic, layered lines of blackened gold explore an abstract method of layering techniques. The 14-carats of graduating, undulating white diamonds from Botswana are a powerful yet harmonious balance of shape and form. “Knowing that the De Beers diamonds were sustainably sources from Botswana, I felt inspired and compelled to put the diamond at the heart of this design as the focal point — I find it incredibly symbolic and it touched me.”
